I am a licensed mental health counselor in Bellingham, Washington. I have been a therapist since 2014, and I have worked in social services since 2007. I have experience working with youth and adults in lots of contexts including complex trauma, peer conflict, behavioral issues, gender and sexuality, and adoption.
I am passionate about working with marginalized populations and with those who feel they don’t fit within societal constructs. I’m a queer woman and parent and this informs my practice and my world construct. I am supportive of all gender expressions, sexual orientations, and family compilations. I work with an anti oppression framework to support individuals in seeing systemic injustices both externally and internally and challenging these ideals. I strive to support and encourage my clients in creating a better world for themselves and others in the present and future.
I provide therapy in an encouraging and validating setting with direct and honest feedback and a hint of fun. I believe in the ability to change and in our abilities to find grace within and for ourselves.
When I am not counseling I am often found with my goats, dogs, cats, or loved ones in the woods or on the river. I spend alot of time staring at plants, growing plants, and forgetting to weed the garden. Life can be like that sometimes.
“the truth is
you were born for you.
you were wanted by you.
you came for you.
you are here for you.
your existence is yours.
yes.”
